Role Profile
 
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Analyst to join our team in Gibraltar at Moneycorp Bank. You will be sitting in the 2nd Line of Defence and working closely with the CRCO/MLRO and wider Compliance team. You will support the delivery of our compliance framework through monitoring, policy maintenance, training support, and regulatory reporting assistance. 
  
This is an excellent opportunity for someone preferably already with 3 or more years of compliance experience who is ready to broaden their responsibilities in a supportive and collaborative environment. 
 
Responsibilities
 
Compliance Monitoring 
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc compliance monitoring reviews across business units.
  • Identify and report compliance risks and control weaknesses. 
  • Maintain and update the compliance monitoring plan in line with regulatory developments and business changes.   
Training and Awareness 
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs tailored to different departments. 
  • Maintain training records, ensure mandatory training completion and promote a strong compliance culture.   
Procedures Development and Maintenance 
  • Draft, review, and update compliance operations procedures and manuals. 
  • Ensure documentation reflects current regulatory requirements and best practices. 
  • Work with operational teams to embed procedures into daily workflows and assist in the development of internal controls to support policy implementation.  
CRS/FATCA 
  • Ensure the institution complies with FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) and CRS (Common Reporting Standard) regulations. Conduct FATCA and CRS due diligence reviews. 
  • Prepare and submit FATCA and CRS reports to relevant tax authorities. 
  • Monitor updates from the IRS, OECD, and local tax authorities.   
Audit and Project Support 
  • Co-ordinate audit (internal and external) deliverables in a timely manner and track and ensure the execution of Management Action Plans through to completion. 
  • Where required by the business, prepare project plans, schedule and coordinate meetings, recording minutes and following up on own and colleague actions. 
  • Prepare status reports, dashboards and KPIs for stakeholders.   
Team Support 
  • Support colleagues across Compliance as needed.  
  • Provide occasional support to the Financial Crime Team with high-risk account reviews and payment releases. 
 
What we’re looking for 
  
Knowledge and Experience: 
  • Experience working in a compliance role within financial services or other regulated environment. 
  • Solid understanding of financial services regulations, including AML, CFT, FATCA, CRS, and other relevant compliance standards and how to apply these practically. 
  • Familiarity with Gibraltar, UK, and EU regulatory environments and reporting obligations. 
  • Experience conducting compliance monitoring reviews and identifying control weaknesses. 
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and updating compliance policies and procedures manuals.
  • Skilled in developing and delivering compliance training and promoting a strong compliance culture.
  • Practical experience in FATCA and CRS compliance, including due diligence reviews and timely reporting to tax authorities. 
  • Understanding of international tax compliance frameworks and data requirements.  
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits and tracking remediation actions.

Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position with an opportunity to work within the Risk & Compliance team based in our Gibraltar office.  There is an option to work one day a week from home on successful completion of probationary period.
